Describe
Your work, element by element: components, processes, combinations and steps.
Report
What you have observed in yourself, presented as your own experience.
Protect
Safety, transparency and your consent. Your file stays confidential.
Thank you for your interest. This file describes your work so that it can be read in the same way for everyone. Fill in what you can: an empty box is better than invented information.
How to send it. Copy the questions on this page into a text or PDF file, answer below each one, then upload the file on the Apply page (button at the bottom of this page).
1. About you
- Full name (or author name)
- City and country of residence
- Training or profession (optional)
- Languages in which you can present
- Website, publications or profiles (ORCID, Zenodo, OSF…), if any
2. Your work in a few lines
- Title of your work
- In 3 sentences: what you do, how, and why
- Since when?
- The festival brings the Medicine Buddha and the life sciences together around care. What link do you see between your work and the qualities of the Medicine Buddha (compassion, patience, serenity, kindness…)?
3. Your work, item by item
This is the most important part. We examine each item separately, then each combination. Please break your work down in the same way.
3.1 Components, one by one
One row per molecule, plant, food, device or practice.
For each one, give:
- Component
- Exact form and product (brand, reference, supplier)
- Amount and frequency (confidential, never published)
- Why this choice?
- Your sources (DOI, PMID or link)
Example: "1 — Spirulina — powder, brand X, batch with lab analysis — … — rich in phycocyanin — PMID …".
3.2 Processes, one by one
One row per preparation or application step: mixing, heating, ultrasound, liposome formation, fermentation, freezing, light, cold, breathing…
For each one, give:
- Process
- Exact device (model, power)
- Settings (duration, temperature, intensity)
- Intended purpose
- Your sources
3.3 Combinations
One row per combination: a component treated by a process ("spirulina with ultrasound"), or several components taken together ("astaxanthin with lecithin").
For each one, give:
- Combination (e.g. 1 × P1, or 1 + 2)
- What you think happens
- Your sources, or "no source found"
3.4 Steps, in order
Describe your method from start to finish, like a recipe that someone else could repeat.
For each one, give:
- What you do
- Components and processes used (no.)
4. Your observations
What you have noticed in yourself really matters. Simply present it as your own experience.
- What have you observed?
- Since when, and how often?
- Did you record it as you went (notebook, app, measurements) or from memory?
- Did you take breaks? What happened during the breaks?
- Other changes during the same period (sleep, diet, exercise, treatment, season…)
- Did you take measurements (questionnaires, lab tests, devices)? Which ones?
Experiments on other people. Have other people tried your method? ☐ No ☐ Yes. If yes: how many, with what written consent, and with the opinion of which ethics committee?
5. Safety
- Side effects observed in yourself (even mild ones)
- Precautions you take (protection, temperature, product testing…)
- People your method is not meant for (pregnancy, children, treatments, illnesses…)
- Does a component act on blood clotting, hormones or medicines? If you do not know, write "I don’t know"
- Origin and testing of the products (analyses, certificates, batches)
6. Transparency
- Do you sell, recommend or earn a commission on any product mentioned? Which one?
- Are you linked to a manufacturer, a distributor or a brand?
- Was your work funded? By whom?
- Do you agree to share your notes and raw data with the reviewer (confidentially)? ☐ Yes ☐ No
7. What you would like to present at the festival
- Preferred format: ☐ talk ☐ workshop ☐ poster ☐ demonstration ☐ panel ☐ other:
- Preferred length
- Intended audience
- Equipment needed
- What the audience will have understood afterwards
- Planned materials (slides, poster, video): please attach them if possible
Presentation rules. No dosage advice to the public, no sales, no tasting of preparations, no individual consultations. Where each piece of information comes from is stated clearly. You remain the author of your work and it is presented under your name.
8. What we do with your file
