Two worlds together
The heritage of the Medicine Buddha and the life sciences, presented together to a wide audience, around care.
A written framework
An ethics charter already drafted; then, at every edition, a safety plan drawn up with the venue, published accounts and tracked indicators.
An independent programme
Patrons support the festival without deciding its programme. Conflicts of interest are published.
No debt: the festival only spends money already raised, and its size adapts to the funds obtained.
Governments, regions and tourism boards
- A cultural and scientific event in your region, announced in several languages.
- A place for the region’s artists, researchers and craftspeople.
- A written framework: an ethics charter already drafted, and a safety plan drawn up with the venue before each edition.
- What we ask: permits, promotion, a venue or financial support.
Foundations
- A cultural and scientific project, open to all.
- Published accounts and indicators tracked at each edition.
- What we ask: a grant, paid to the host organisation.
Universities and research centres
- A place to present research to the public and meet independent researchers.
- Research topics: citizen science, Buddhist heritage, ethics.
- What we ask: speakers, equipment, scientific supervision, and laboratory models presented safely.
Companies
- Your name shown as a partner to the festival’s visitors.
- A link with the working groups, which keep their independence.
- The possibility of selling equipment and ingredients that comply with the country’s law.
- What we ask: sponsorship, loaned equipment, stands. Interests are published.
Private philanthropists
- Following the project from the start, and coming on site.
- Being thanked publicly, or staying anonymous below the donation publication threshold.
- What we ask: a donation, primarily for the project direction.
Buddhist institutions
- A documented presentation of their heritage, to an audience that may not know it.
- A place in the exhibitions and the gathering space, alongside the other traditions.
- What we ask: loans of works or texts, historical talks, within a secular and cultural framework.
Two labels being created
- Lapis Certa, a science label: it will date the speakers’ work and make it citable (public charter, a DOI for each contribution, open licence, ORCID identifier).
- Lapis Sound, a music label: it supports the artists who bring the festival to life (standard contracts, ISRC codes, digital distribution).
Provisional names: nothing has been registered yet.
